We flew MAN - LHR - MIA route on 16/8/18. Delayed slightly on 7am flight from MAN followed by a bit of circling above LHR meant that time was tight for our 9:45 flight to MiA.
BA tried to get all those on Mia flight (69 of us) off first but passengers having none of it 😳 There were AA staff everywhere pointing where to go and telling us to run. We literally sprinted to reach the gate on time. We boarded at 9:35 for our 9:45 flight. Phew! It was our first time going indirect but I would do it again if the price was right. AA flight was great. |

AA do tend to keep the doors open later than BA ... which has saved my bacon more than once !

Update 😊
We arrived last night 😁 Everything went smoothly thankfully. Take off from Man was 15 mins late but AA were waiting for us at LHR and fast tracked us through security. We had about 30 mins to spare 😅 but made it. AA flight to Miami was excellent. All American crew very attentive and friendly. Plenty of time at Miami to change flights. Only delay was collection of suitcases at Tampa as there was a storm in the area and this left us waiting almost 2 hours in the airport for suitcases. Weather beautiful today. Chill day and Disney tomorrow x |

Glad to hear that the flight itself and connections went well. Luggage is another thing - at least it made it there eventually!
Excellent saving. I would do it but I actually prefer indirect. Would you do it again ? Have a fab holiday. |

Can I ask how long you had for a change over in Miami as looking at this route for next year but from Aberdeen. The only thing is it only 1hr 50 mins between flights in Miami.
Have a great holiday

Hi ya.
We had 3 and a half hours which was far too long. We sailed through security. Lots of machines to use to speed up the process. Bag drop and through to gate in well under an hour. I know it totally depends on you getting there on time in the first place, but I think that you would be fine with almost 2 hours xx |
