Self maintenance (beauty)

Ladies (and gents if you wish) I’ve decided that I’m going to make use of my enforced free time to keep on top of my beauty routine and try to do those things I never get round to! When we are freed from confinement I’m going to be glowing and groomed!
Who fancies joining in and we can share tips. I have a list!

I will consider photos subject to my levels of success. First on my list will be nails and eyebrows. I have bought the acetone and gel removal kit and will attempt removal myself and then paint with regular polish.
I’ve also bought tint and developer so will attempt to (subtly) maintain my own eyebrows.
Sounds straightforward doesn’t it? What could go wrong ...

Eyebrow dying is fairy easy. Just make sure you have some cotton buds handy to wipe off any excess that gets on your skin below and above your eye brow. I tend to leave mine on a bit longer than it says to do.

If you do your lashes do the top and bottom separately.

Good luck

I just put a bit of Vaseline on top and below to stop any mishaps! I’m using Refectocil which I’ve used before but also leave it for longer than they say! Can’t remember what shade I used in the past so I’ve ordered 2 and will try both (at different times and not one per eye!)

Oh never heard of that brand will have a look. I normally use Eylure. The black/blue is good for eyelash.

I need to do mine, is just getting the motivation to do it!

It’s the stuff used by HD and salons - much better than the stuff from boots. I get it on amazon and they also stock the developer and little mixer pots

My roots will very quickly become a disaster but this is something I've made my peace with, my hair's quite complex so I can't do it myself.

My regular hair appointment should have been Thursday so they aren't too bad yet!

I have cut my nails down and am applying strengthener as we speak.

Excellent Sue. I’m tackling feet later.
