Can you upgrade on a BA fly drive? it's all paid for.

I must be thick as mince as I never seem to be able to get a decent upgrade price , despite a Dibber trying to explain it to me in Layman's terms a few years ago!

I'd be keen to know the answer to this too.

Yes, We have upgraded our flydrive from LGW-TPA- we go on Monday.
It cost us an additional £3k to upgrade from WT to CW for 2 adults, 1 teen and 1 child.
I am also a little anxious about the rear-facing take-off but other than that I'm looking forward to the flight and the extra luggage allowance!

Yes you can upgrade from a flydrive but from my personal experience the upgrade price is usally very high.

Not sure what cabin you are at now, but first class is not available on the direct BA flights to MCO or tampa.

Well I have just called BA, been on hold a while !

You can book Upgrades on a fly drive depending on availabilty , the operator I was spoke to was refreshingly honest and said that there was a mini upgrade flash sale the other day when everyone jumped on them ( trust me to miss them ) and she has just quoted me £4000 yes you read it right 4K to upgrade my flight return only ...I politely declined

The take off is really smooth, I was worried at first, but you really don’t notice the direction you are sitting in.

I agree, because I have sat facing the opposite direction in club many times and never even thought about it.

If you are in the upper deck in a 747 and sitting backwards and it’s a steep climb then it’s a weird but pleasant experience (but like a ride !) and amazing views ! It’s my favourite position - and remember the brace position is different too (it always remind me of the old advert for cross your heart bra !)
