Pay to park at a Disney hotel? Is this a thing now?

I’ve always found that prices are very high when flights very first come out, drop to their lowest after a couple of weeks, then slowly continue to rise, with a slight dip for sales.
We booked when flights dipped after being out a couple of weeks for £783 per person which includes direct flight to Philadelphia, flight from New York to Miami, then direct Miami to London. Plus 6 weeks 12person vehicle car hire. Prices are slowly going up (yes I keep checking! )

Normally we fly direct in and out but changing it up with a trip to New York and philly this year.

Christ’s sake

We’ve got to pay for parking at our partner hotel in Anaheim though travelling with Virgin reduces it to “just” $12/night

For what we pay to stay at Disney World, and the copious car parks already in place, charging for parking is just shameless profiteering.

Yep me too! Locked in price I’m OK with but will have no qualms about rebooking and losing £175 deposit. Even if if means just saving £100 net.

That was news to me too. First time i’d heard that it was a new charge! That’s just put our stay up by about £200...cripes! 😡

Glad I found out now...dropped jaw at check-out is never a good look. 😯

Those flight prices better plummet now!

So last night I re-checked our prices and found a much better deal. I will cancel our original flights today, which were £3150 for 4 of us with 7 seater suburban.
Last night I found exactly the same deal, same dates, for £2094 total.
Even losing our £175 deposit we are almost £1k up.
