We have Paris the city (not the Disney park) to fit in yet in April but we so geared up about TDL. Roll on end of august. James and Gemma are back from their trip and I'm eagerly awaiting their trippie report.

What a fraught weekend. We tried to get Mira Costa Hotel at Disney - totally booked out. 500 rooms gone in one day. They only release dates 6 months in advance. We'll be at Disney's Ambassador hotel that sits midway between Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea. We have also booked 3 nights at the Hilton which is in the Sinjuku district. One thing I've learned is there is NO tipping anywhere! What a joy that's going to be.
Flying with Air France - via CDG - it's way cheaper than JAl / BA /Virgin.

Hi Geoff,

Sorry to hear that you've not been able to book the Mira Costa Hotel - hope it hasn't detracted from your trip too much. Incidentally, really interested to hear that you were going for that hotel rather than, say, the DLH? We've booked the latter for our stay in April as it's been a long-time dream from DLP days. As we booked fairly late (6 weeks ago) it wasn't cheap - hope we've done the right thing.

Incidentally, how are you getting on with scheduling your Mt. Fuji trip? Unfortunately the mountain region isn't open when we go so we're restricted to the Hakone region; that said, I'm sure it will still be a great adventure in itself.

Hope all your plans are going well. As I'm doing our holiday DIY, I've spent hours researching and planning - I just hope it will all be worth it - only 17 days until we leave!

Neil

SO looking forward to this Geoff, I do love your trippies, and its somewhere so amazing!

Will you also be doing a trippie for Paris ? I only ask as its a) somewhere I am desperate to go, and b) far too long until I get to read this one

xx

And flights are finally sorted. Club World with BA from LHR. Outbound 13:30 arriving 9:05 the following day . Inbound we fly at 10:50 arriving Heathrow at 15:20 same day. So we have decided to tack an extra day on by staying overnight the Radisson Narita which means we'll have a shuttle to the airport rather than fighting our way there from central Tokyo through a morning rush hour.
