Wednesday 9th November
Breakfast is included with the room and is served 6 AM - 10:30 AM.
We'll probably have a lie in/lazy start and head for breakfast about 9ish. We've been told the Bus 100 is just as good as the hop on hop off. There's only one hoho route that runs in winter from what I gather so I think the way we're doing things is best. We miss the Christmas markets by a few days but I'm not too fussed - I'd rather my first experience of Berlin be one not totally chaotic! We will get on the bus at Alexanderplatz taking in the following sites: *Television Tower *Brandenburg Gate *Berlin Cathedral *Tiergarten *Reichstag *Victory Column (Can get off and pay €3 to go up - 285 steps to go up!) *Breitscheidplatz/Kurfurstendamm *Kaiser Wilhelm Church *KaDeWe *Berlin Zoo Other things on today's to do list: *Rausch Chocolatier *Holocaust Memorial *Checkpoint Charlie *Eastside Gallery *Panoramapunkt (€6 with the Berlin welcome card) Edited at 01:45 PM. |

Breakfast is served 6-10:30 so again maybe a lazy morning tying up any loose ends. Would like to see the Olympic stadium (S5 to Pichelsberg). Potsdamer Platz & Aleza shopping 😆 If we have time - giant swings in Mauerpark We have no plans today but this evening at Markthalle Neun it's Streetfood Thursday 5pm-10pm! Edited at 10:19 AM. |

I did the German Christmas markets last year in Munich and absolutely loved in. I'm in Canada now so can't just hop over to Europe as easily, but I would've loved to do another Christmas Market somewhere. Berlin is high on my list too, have just read your actual trip report for this and loved it. Hoping to backpack around Europe sometime soon and fit it in then.
