Mobile Beef tenderloin

I'm having some friends over for a special dinner. I planned on cooking a beef tenderloin and lots of sides. Can I cook a beef tenderloin in the slow cooker? I've never cooked it in a slow cooker before and don't want to ruin such an expensive bit of meat! But if I could it would free up more room in the oven for other stuff.
My friend is moving back to America so want to make a really lovely dinner.
Hope someone can help ☺

a slow cooker would ruin it. tenderloin generally should be cooked hot and fast. due to the size and shape of the cut, you shouldn't really need any longer than half an hour or so

slow cookers are best left for cheaper cuts that have lots of connective tissue.

personally, i'd just sear it on all sides in a pan, then chuck in the oven at full blast for 20-30 mins depending on the size of the joint. if youve got one, an internal meat thermometer should be at 125°F (52°C) for rare or 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare. any higher, and you're ruining the meat

*edit*
maybe prep the other stuff you want to do in the oven first, then keep it warm in the slow cooker instead?
