Manchester T2 Security fast track - is it worth it?

We went through last Saturday, 1st day of school hols for us and we flew through with fast track. Last year didn’t and we waited an hour in the normal queue.

We watched for a deal and bought when the deal suited us.

Last time I went through I'd not got FastTrack and the queue was ridiculous, queued snaked so many times it was like FOP - this was November and VA so would have been T2.

We got through security at T2 Manchester in 25 minutes this morning. There was a queue for the fast rack which took 10 minutes to get through.
Glad I saved my money.. it can go towards prezzies for my granddaughter.

I always think a lot comes down to personal expectations, fears and tolerances. Of course the queues are unpredictable, but if you offered that as a guaranteed scenario, some would pay to be faster, some would prefer to wait and save money and some wouldn't be able to make up their mind.

We plan the overall experience, and factor in all the things we need to do such as get there, park up, check in, clear security, feed ourselves and find the gate. We allow enough contingency time for any number of those elements in that list to take longer than expected. If things proceed swiftly, we end up with too much time to spare at the gate. So if they do eat into our contingency time, we don't fear we are late, we rejoice in the reduced time to sit bored in the gate area. We have to be really held up before we worry.
