Thanks all. Have taken note of all the hotels you recommended and am now also considering Villages Nature too as we are going in August and would like access to a nice pool and loungers if possible.

We have stayed at the Magic Circus twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. Regular shuttle buses and a really fantastic breakfast. On a par with Newport and Sequoia in my opinion but way cheaper.
