The Harry Potter areas are fantastically themed, and the associated rides are great. Considering I find (most) of the rest of US/IoA a little sterile (swathes of asphalt spotted with industrial style units - atmosphere and theming hugely lacking), I'm sure the theming will intrigue and draw despite not being fans of the books/films.

Love Rip Ride Rockit, the Hulk, Kong (the latter at least in a nicely themed area), as rides, but the Harry Potter sections are a league apart from the rest of the place as far as layout and atmosphere is concerned.

For us Universal parks are a must!
More so than any of the Disney parks.

Rides like Hulk, Transformers, All the HP rides, The Mummy and my DD fave The Simpsons come before anything Disney has.

This is just our opinion, but if you like rides I'm guessing you'd love Universal.
