iPad help

I’ve a problem with the key pad on my iPad and don’t know what I’ve done .
I was using the key pad and made the key pad split in half . I have made it rejoin but the key pad is now across the middle of the screen when I type instead of appearing along the bottom of the screen .
Has anyone any idea on how to make the key pad app rear back along the bottom of the screen please

Tap and hold on the keyboard icon. It's in the bottom right corner of the keyboard. Select Dock and the keyboard will attach to the bottom of the screen.
