Drinks
Can someone please give me some advice..
Do you think the drinks package is worth having?on a cruise. We have never been on a cruise before,we have booked carnival imagination 4 day from long beach..It works out around $58 per day per person..we have booked excursions for the 2 days we are in ports. Must admit we do like a drink or 3... Just seems a lot of money.. Thanks. |

Google the current Carnival bar price list. You will then be able to see if what you think you are likely to drink in a day stacks up against the beverage package. Also, check that the drinks you like are in the package - they very often have a cap on the price of each drink and sometimes a cap on the number of drinks per day.
We like a drink but never drink enough to warrant buying the all inclusive package. |

Do it ! If it's anything like RC you will be sorry of you don't! I didn't last yr on RC as I'm not a drinker but a peach snaps and orange juice was $15 for one! Even if you only had a couple with a couple of nice coffees and bottles of water in a day then it would be worth while!

We like the drinks package if we can get it for free otherwise we find it very expensive. We are doing a 3 night RCL cruis ein may and decided to book the package which includes soft drinks, juice, specialty coffees and virgin cocktails and even then with 25% off for 3 of us was almost £180!
Next year we have a weeks cruise in the Caribbean with them and I doubt we will book another package at those prices.

We booked our May cruise with the DDP as we were going to Tenerife but found out all inclusive on RC was cheaper then 1 week in Tenerife All inclusive
Then in Dec we booked the Caribbean all inclusive on Harmony of the seas. Both times right after the promotion ended the price dropped by 150€ so no where near the price of the drinks package. If you see an RC all inclusive sale then go for it because the price after the sale will never be lower than the price of the drinks package. I bought the refreshment package last year and I ended up paying more than the price of the drinks package.
