Spectrolee‘s First DVC trip - Day One Travel Day

So we're all set, and ready for our first trip as DVC members.
We'll be staying at our home resort Copper Creek Villas. This time it's just myself (Lee) my mum Isabel, and my daughter Joni who is 2.

Home made ears are ready

We made it to the airport - flight delayed which should make the connection more fun- eek!
(We're flying Glasgow to MCO via Dublin with Aer Lingus)

Slightly delayed flight, we landed at 1:07 in Dublin

Security and customs was a doddle - through to the gate by 1:45, yay!
Flight to Orlando is at 3pm

Flight took off about 3:20, then the drinks came round at 4:20. We got two grey goose and ginger ale (£12) and one bottle of white wine (£5.20)

We got 3 bottles of wine free, as we had upgraded our meals before the flight. The cost to upgrade was €70 for the 3 of us.

We ordered the chicken for Joni

Isabel and I had the steak

The food was delicious. We were so glad we booked this as we were really hungry be the time it came (5pm) The meals that weren't pre-booked we're served at 6pm
Tea and coffee came round at 7pm (the trays were only cleared just before this)
It was a bit uncomfortable having our food trays sitting for two hours.

8:30 was ice cream time

A snack was served at 10:30

I didn't really enjoy this, was a bit cardboardy

At 11:45 we started landing, and Joni fell asleep the wee soul.

We were off the plane at 12:10
This is where Aer Lingus made the difference. We exited the plane into the departure area we normally leave from, no passport control, no customs.
We headed to terminal A for our luggage.
(sorry for the rubbish photo, I take quick snaps so I have the time recorded on my phone)

I'm going to change to Florida time now. So we're at 7:10pm

On the magical express
By the time we collected our luggage and came across to B side, then waited for a bus it was 8:10
Joni was doing really well considering how long we'd been traveling for, and she enjoyed the Mickey cartoons on the bus.

The bus departed at 8:30, and we had a stop at Old Key West at 9pm.
15 minutes later we were home!
Copper Creek Villas at Wilderness Lodge.

Our room is beautiful

Quick stop at Roaring Fork, then it was bedtime at 10pm
