Easter 2019
Hello,
Anyone fancy sharing their Easter itinerary or tips? We go 17 April - 2nd May staying offsite in a villa, family of 4 (2 boys aged 7-11). It's our first time visiting and we are not doing universal but are doing Disney and Discovery Cove (22nd April) Thanks |

If you decide to go to a park on Easter Sunday, go early. leave as the crowds build and return in the evening. Actually, this works for any day but my one Easter visit we were saved by getting there at opening. MY kids got the major rides done early. My sister and her family got there after Chef Mickey's at 10. By then the crowds were so thick the kids wanted to leave,

We always tend to get to the park at opening. Run to the first ride then start on the fast passes. Do as much as possible in week 1 then go with the flow in week 2

As has already been mentioned our strategy will be to get there early. Do as much as we can and retreat back to the villa when the crowds build up.

We last did Easter in 2016 - Easter Sunday was in AK - really quiet first thing - we even exchanged our vouchers for tickets and bought magic bands with no lines at the ticket booths. Got busier through the morning, ate lunch at flametree bbq- got seating outside easily, but from then it got very busy so we left between 2 and 3 when it felt a bit too busy for us. Roads back to villa were manic!
We did this for the first week which was very busy, then stayed a bit later or did evenings in the second week - still busy, but less manic. A friend did Kennedy Space Centre on the Sunday - said it was as if a normal weekend, a really good day, until home time - took hours to get back from there on packed roads. |
