Ice Hockey Game
Hi all,
Going a week tomorrow and have booked tickets for an ice hockey game the Sunday after we get there. Might be a ridiculous question, but what is appropriate clothing? I had a quick search online, which suggested jeans and a t-shirt with a hoodie would be fine, but another one that said it got really quite cold in the arena. Hoping to get an idea from someone who'd done it really - thanks in advance! |

Hi we went to the hockey in Canada a few years ago. Jeans and t-shirt was fine for me. But my DW needed her hoodie. As she thought it was a bit cold.

Which arena are you going to?
Last time I went to Amelie Arena for Tampa Bay Lightning I didn't change out of my t-shirt and shorts (we went straight from Busch gardens), it was fairly warm in the arena, but plenty of people had jeans and hoodies on. Can't help if its Amway Center, havent been there for years

We just wore our shorts, with a hoody, made sure didn’t have sandals on that day - we were fine

The arena will be a little chilly but not cold. I'd bring a hoodie or fleece. I am sure they sell team ones at the game but they will probably pretty expensive.
Have fun. |

Thanks all for the advice - I don't feel the cold particularly, so would probably be fine in shorts, but my parents will most likely need jeans and a jumper/jacket of some sort then.

I’d agree it depends on which arena. If you’re going through to tampa it’s fairly mild in their arena so light clothing would be fine. It is a bit cooler at the Orlando arena, we wore shorts still though although my kids wore hockey shirts and I had a hoody on. Definitely closed toe shoes rather than sandals though. Nowhere near as cold as some of our ice rinks in the uk! Enjoy.

It's the Amway Centre - I think jeans and a t-shirt, with a hoodie for if it's chilly, is the way to go.
Thanks for all your help - it's very much appreciated! Only a few days until we go now. |
