August queuing times
Hi
We are visiting from 10/8 and wondered if/when the parks become less busy due to the American school reopening? Does anyone have any idea? |

noticeably quieter towards the end of August, last week in August more so
although quieter rather than heaving isnt necessarily 'better'... EDIT should add Universal was def quieter cant really say the same about disney parks , magic kingdom as heaving all the time in our experience Edited at 06:28 PM. |

It usually gets quieter around the middle of the month. I checked the Orlando schools calendar and first day of the year is the 12th. It does vary by county/state but it's generally a decent guide. US-based crowd calendars are showing a reduction in crowds around that date as well.
So your first weekend may still have heavier crowds but it should ease off through the week. |

We're arriving the same day for 3 weeks. As said plan for it being busier at the start. Make use of the early starts while you're adjusting to the timezone.
We're planning on doing things away from the main parks that first weekend like Kennedy Space Center, beach day or something. The unknown quantity for this year is Star Wars Galaxies edge and how much it will effect crowds. All of the crowd calendars are expecting a massive drop off in attendance towards the end of August. The recent offers from Disney kind of support that.
