Croatia injections?

Was thinking about going to Croatia and I’ve just googled advice about injections and a load of them are recommended. So anybody that’s been how many did you have?

Hi,

None of them. The advice for Croatia is pretty much the same as for the UK and most of Europe with no advised vaccinations (other than keeping boosters up to date). The fitfortravel site does say to consider rabies but I'm not aware of anyone who gets rabies injections for a european holiday.

So unless you're in what's considered a high risk category I wouldn't worry, but otherwise contact your GP to check.

As above, just check with your GP/practice nurse that your vaccinations for the UK are up to date.

We are going to Croatia in April. It has not even crossed my mind that I might need injections, it wouldn’t for any Europe trip. I am sure you have got to a duff website.

Been to Croatia 5 times (including once when it was Yugoslavia!) and I’ve never had injections for any of the trips. 4 times at the Istra Penisula and Dubrovnik in the south.

Prefer the north to the south - lots to see and do as can take the boat to Venice for the day or up into Slovenia (Postonja caves, Lipica stud farm, Lake Bled). Porec is a nice little town.

Food in the north has Italian influence so pizza / pasta and fish dishes.

You’ll have a great time so don’t worry
