Geoff. Shaping up well. As you say maybe a bit hard or boring for the younger builder.
As a Club Member do you get discount on models?

Looking good Geoff. That set is on our list. Lego is a big theme in our house - maybe too big! Is is our latest set with a time lapse build - reminds us of the MK Carousel!

Have they recently added the scaffolding and hundreds of little men in yellow hard hats?

My DS (13) built this in the school holidays and really enjoyed it. He sold quite a lot of mixed boxes of lego and sets on Gumtree to fund this and then the London Bus.
I've bought him the Mini for his birthday but think he'll find it quite tame now and hoping they bring out something new but more affordable for Christmas than the new Millenium Falcon. |

So we continue to build the walls but also add a firm base for the clock tower:
The green lawn is known as Speaker's Green. We start adding figures and windows. I discover from research that the figures are past Kings and Queens: More figures are added on the end by the clock tower: You'll note that some bricks are angled at 45 degrees to show the contrast of the brickwork: Large windows are next: More detail on the clock tower end: Another storey and more figures and windows: A strong base for the clock tower goes in next: First layer of the clock tower: So that's another 464 pieces and two more hours. Totals to date: 4 1/2 Hours. 1115 Pieces. Edited at 09:27 PM. |

If you are a Lego VIP member - for every pound you spend you get a point. For every 100 points you get £5 off your next purchase. You also get prior notice of new set releases and the opportunity to purchase them about a month before the general public.
