If you already had a valid esta, when you applied did it say on the screen that you already had a valid one? When I redid ours in January it said ‘this passport number already had a valid esta, do you wish to contuinue’ I said yes because ours expire before our next trip and my son had a new passport. If you applied in November you should have had a valid one? Or am I totally confused?

Just reapply again after 48 hours, it's the only one you can get wrong. Happened to us 2 years ago.

I think it needs to be reset before they reapply.

I hope your right and can be reset. What would I answer for have you ever had an esta refused? I will have to ask the person tomorrow morning.

I noticed that if you use the wheel scroll on a mouse to move down the screen with the box still selected it’ll change the answer to yes.

I nearly got caught with this and luckily noticed as I scrolled back up to check.

Hope you can get it sorted op.

The mental health question is the ONLY question they will reset for you. Generally the advice is to wait 24 hours and reapply but it may be best call CBP first and explain. I’m afraid if they won’t reset it you are unlikely to get an appointment at the Embassy before March 2nd, you would need to apply to the police for your Acro as well. Some visas are approved on the day and take a week or so to get your passport back but some take up to 9 months.

Unless that's new, the question is have you ever had Visa denied, not ESTA.

Good luck thereal, as a previous poster mentioned, if using the tab key, without clicking away from the question area, it will change the answer. This, and where one reads fully before submitting, are areas where one must be extra vigilant.

Plus if you put yes it asks if you are sure, if I remember correctly.

It wasn't until it was declined that i noticed the answer to the question was yes, i am certain i checked it before proceeding and did not purposely choose yes.

I am hoping they let me reapply tomorrow if not i will have to apply for travel visa which i hope will be done in time. I guess tomorrow morning will depend on what i have to do.

I will call in the morning and update
Yeah - something is wrong with the site when you've renewed- I was checking mine when in the queue for check-in, just u know in case and it said expired. This is the point where I nearly had a heart attack. Luckily as I'd claimed on my expenses as it was for a business trip I could find the confirmation number - checked using that and there it was ok. Hope you get sorted.
