Avis Car Hiire when in Florida (Getting car hire when out there)

Hi

I am planning to stay at Cabana Bay and was looking to hire a car for a couple of days whilst I am staying there.

I have a couple of questions if anybody knows?
1. How does car insurance work if I am getting car hire out there? i.e. do I have to have my own, or do they incorporate the cost into the car hire?
2. I understand there is a charge for parking at Cabana bay - Does this apply to car's hired from their on-site car hire?
Thanks

You could prebook Avis car hire through British Airways which includes all insurance.
I have not stayed at Cabana Bay, but would imagine that you will be required to pay for car parking if using hotel car park, and I don't imagine Avis will allow you to park in their pound overnight.

I only have experience of hiring cars from the airport for the whole duration of our holidays I'm afraid.

The safest (and cheapest ) option I guess if you know what dates you want is to pre-book through a UK broker such as Netflights, usrentacar or our favourite by far Andy at DFCH.

By booking through one of them you can be sure that you will have the important insurances. CDW with no excess and $1m SLI. The problem for us UK drivers is that American drivers have all the appropriate insurances already covered. I'm not sure how you can add those insurances at the local desk without paying excessively.

Can't help about paying hotel fees though - haven't stayed in a Florida hotel for years.

Book it here before you go , we always use ba for car hire they tend to be very competitive and the price comes with all the relevant insurances you need
