Could you mix in another brand of silica a little at a time, a bit like you would do if you were changing foods. If you do it gradually enough he won’t notice the change until he has swapped completely.

Have you tried sprinkling a thin layer on top of a different brand rather than mixing it in ? He might be reassuredifit feels familiar under his peas and also the scent be stronger.

If the silica gel starts off blue how do you tell when it has reached 100% absorption?

Is this why this one has been discontinued?
