Mobile AKL 2019 Compared to 2020 Aug

Just checked the 2020 price for AKL in aug, 2 ad 2 Ch.

Standard room up from £4300 (2019) to £6100 Aug (2020)

Was not expecting that.

Looks like our first onsite visit is going to have to change plans.

I know they have invested a lot but that is some mark up.

See I just checked for the same resort and same dates we are going this year (CSR), and it's showing £140 more (we got free dining, but if we assume they add free dining for 2020) - so it's not very consistent!

Are you checking exactly the same room category? A savannah view pushes up a 2 week trip by about 1k.

If you have a look at the breakdown though, your 2019 quote is including the free nights offer whilst the 2020 isn't Supposedly £5500 without this, still a fair jump but easier to "make" back with free dining

Ah, thanks for looking and helping clear that up.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

So I reckon that the price I am looking at is going to be the one for 2020 but hopefully free DDP.

Ring Disney and ask this. If I book now (£50 deposit per person only) and free dining comes out and that’s a better deal, can I cancel for free if I move my existing deposit to the new booking. If they say yes you have given yourself options so long as you don’t change your mind about your hotel choice.

I have just compared my actual 2019 cost to same for 2020 - no free nights in either. Only club rooms available for Yacht Club in 2020 so nearly £5k more and not comparable.

However there are other deluxes available on the same dates but in 2020, for very similar to what we paid for our 2019 trip.

Thanks for the info.

I budgeted or 2020 based on 2019 and there seems to be a jump.

Hopefully when it actually comes to booking I'll get a price that is similar although I'm expecting a bit of an up lift.

There seems to have been a jump across the board. I'm looking at a Universal trip next september and prices are £800-1200 more than I paid in 2018. Thought it was inflation but 2018 and 2019 prices are the same!

I think it is just because it is so early. I hope anyway! Holding off for a bit to see what the prices do.
