Not doing ADR at all!
Going on a solo trip and I just can't bear the thought of being stuck with having to be in a certain place on a certain day at a certain time.
So if I want a TS meal any day I'm just going to go to guest services on the day I'm in a park and take what they have available I'm quite excited at this - more spontaneaous, and going to restaurants I might otherwise not have thought to go to Does anyone else do this? Did you discover a 'hidden gem' restaurant in Disney that you wouldn't otherwise have thought to visit? |

We have just done a deluxe dining plan trip so we’re tied every evening. We weren’t unhappy about that, but we did think we might do a trip with no dining plan or ADRs.
For your trip, would it not be easier to see what is available online rather than go to guest services every day? |

For what its worth...the MDE app is pretty easy to use on the fly. You can filter to only the park you want and time you want and it will tell you what's open. That sure beats waiting online and trekking out of the way to Guest Services.

When we travelled as a family of 5 (or more if my sister's family was also there), we tended to call when we were leaving the park for the day and see what was available. Never had a problem getting dinner, including an Easter trip. To do this, especially with a larger goup you need to be flexible. We tend to have a late dinner (8 ish) so it worked well for us. Not sure it would have if we needed dinner at 5 PM.

I’ve never done this but were I travelling solo I would 100% take this approach. I enjoy all kinds of food so am sure would be fine. Let us know how you get on it sounds fun 👍

A hidden gem I discovered was a QS - Pinocchio Village Haus in MK. I had a lovely meal there.

I agree ref booking on the fly. Last November we were leaving SSR and heading to Longhorns offsite. Just as we got to the exit barrier at 7.45pm I asked my Wife if she wanted to go to the Wave. She agreed and logged onto MDE
We were driving past Fort Wilderness with it all booked. So easy

We’ve found some good QS places incuding in the resorts. We like the flexibility of being able to eat when we want to.
