Edinburgh Airport Car Parking/ Hotel Stay
Hi guys
We have never flown from Edinburgh before and our flight is 06.45 so a bit too early for us to travel up on the morning of the flight. I have been looking for hotel stay with parking options and separate parking and a hotel the night before. For any seasoned travellers from Edinburgh what do you normally do? any tips on hotels that maybe don't show up on searches but you know offer a good deal. We normally fly from Manchester and have it down to a fine art, where to stay and which parking works for us but feel like its a bot of a stab in the dark in Edinburgh. Any advice appreciated. |

We have stayed at the nearby travelodge which was about a 5 minute drive from the airport then we booked the valet parking as it was on special discount on Edinburgh airport website working out at nearly same price as long stay anyway. Would highly recommend the valet parking, so easy and stress free

There is a doubletree by Hilton right at the airport and a new Hampton by Hilton and moxy just opened aswell. I’ve never actually stayed as we’re close enough but we pass a travelodge, 5 mins away and I believe there are a few premier inns and an ibis not too far either.
We always park onsite, just for convenience but the terminal/surface parking has increased quite a bit so we now use the on airport long stay, really easy and buses run frequently. Depending on your dates/duration you can sometimes make good saving with using plane parking, this is within the onsite long stay but spaces are further from the bus stops, it’s just Edinburgh’s airport budget/cheaper version Edited at 12:26 AM. |

we always use terminal surface parking using the code FBOOK20 to get 20% off on top
edinburgh is a great airport for parking cheap as chips and you can park literally outside the terminal (terminal surface) so no messing about on shuttle buses etc etc. thisnk we paid @£70 for 2 weeks in August using this link often just drive up on the morning/afternoon in question but would look at a nearby premier inn/travelodge etc & use the below for parking . if your going August when the festival is on its extortion for a hotel... Code isn’t working any longer unfortunately
We park at Edinburgh a few times a year and found the prices are definitely going up hence now using the long stay Edited at 11:11 AM. |

For me it seems to accept the code but doesn’t actually discount the rate

I downloaded the Edinburgh Airport app for a discount. Think it was just 10% though. Usually do the surface terminal parking as just a five minute walk to terminal.
The alternative is plane parking which we have used a couple of times. There is a Premier Inn about a five minute drive away virtually at the end of the runway. There is also an Ibis a couple of stops away on the tram 🚋.
