What's your total price, ideal airport, number of adults / children, do you need a car ?

£650 for a direct flight in peak summer holiday season sounds pretty good to me and I’d book.

For August flights (unless it’s late in the month and youreturn after schools have gone back) I would always budget at least £800pp up to a maximum of £1000

that £650 becomes close to £750 with seats and bags though.

It’s 7 years since I paid less than that in Ausgust UK to MCO direct. I would book it.

I don’t think it’s TOO bad for direct flights.

I’m happy with £647 each we paid for MAN - ATL - MCO on the way out and direct back although it does include 23kg luggage each.

I think you could get better, but you'd have to wait until after Easter. Of course that means they could have risen dramatically also.

You won't get much cheaper than 650 in august so if you want to go I'd just book.

Whilst I couldn't go without bags (well maybe I could but the others wouldn't) we never book seats and are never sat apart (I know we could we just haven't) - so you could save about 60 each by just taking a chance

Sitting alone on a plane doesn't bother me though I travel all the time for work and it doesn't bother our daughter either she has been solo flying to summer camps (or to meet up with grandparents or other family members in Europe) for years so she actually prefers not being "style cramped" by the oldies

If that’s your local airport I’d jump at £650 for direct and convenience. It’s a good price.
