WDW With A British Accent - Day 7 Universal Studios & Portofino Bay

Today we have booked in to Portifino Bay and will be doing Universal today and IOA tomorrow.

A couple of Sam Adams beers at the poolside going down a treat.

Took a gentle water taxi ride to the parks and headed for the Studios.

We head for Transformers before grabbing something to eat. The ride broke down half way through. They soon got it started again. They gave us an apology pass as we exited the ride to ride anything in the park, although having FOLP we had no use for them.

We grabbed a bite to eat at Mels Diner

Nothing special, just park food, burger and fries

Nice to see Back To The Future car is still here, shame the ride has changed

We have done several rides and there has been no wait even in the standby line

Got to ride rip ride rocket and it didnt break down :-)

Edit.. Later in the evening this ride broke down at the top of the lift hill, 12 passengers were stuck for a couple of hours right at the top of the vertical lift hill. It made all the major news networks.

Feel sorry for those passengers but at the same time I'm so pleased it didn't break when we were on it!

We managed to avoid buying any of this, i dont know how we managed if but we did.

When we got back to our room there was a bowl of fruit, some water and a CD compliments of the manager.

A little later we had this display delivered again compliments of the manager.

The whole display is edible.

We booked dinner at BiCE Italian restaurant

I have read on here in the last few days how busy all the parks are, er, where is everybody in your pictures? It looks fab. The hotel looks beautiful. We have a night booked at HRH in the next few weeks, can't wait. Enjoy the rest of your holiday

There wasnt many people around in the hotel and both universal and Ioa were walk on rides during the whole of the morning, we didnt need to use front of line passes.

Portofino bay is a lovely hotel with stunning view of the bay. We both said we will actually be disappointed to leave!

Portofino bay looks stunning and Bice looks really good. Nice gesture with the edible treats.
