We drove from SF to Yosemite for a 2-night stay, it took 4hrs to drive there with minimal traffic, personally I wouldn’t want to try a day trip. We stayed at Fisherman’s Wharf, great spot to stay for tourists.

We did this trip, almost. We flew into lax stayed in Anaheim, moved on to Hollywood then flew to San Fran. No hire car...
We got a private car from Anaheim to Hollywood, concierge organised it. I think it was $100 flat rate so cheaper than taxi.
We stayed at Grand Cali on DVC, loved it really nice hotel...
Hollywood worth visiting but quite seedy. We used HOHO it was v easy and we saw everything we wanted including a visit to Santa Monica. We also took metro train to Universal.
San Francisco was fabulous we loved it. so many things to see...

Hi all,

Thanks for the responses. I was hoping to have a plan and a booking by now but crazy week at work so will need to wait til weekend.

I’ll be back for a plan on which I’d appreciate feedback!
