Not top end but I know Lamy do left handed fountain pens.
I do smudge with some pens but have it sorted most of the time now.

My big issues and bread knives, cake forks and at Uni it was those chairs with tables attached, also had to hunt for a left one. I rarely filled in cheque stubs, possibly because it was so tricky.

My grandson (just turned seven) is left handed. It has really made me notice how difficult things can be for left handers. I have to rethink the way I show him how to do things sometimes (like when making crafty things for instance). Even simple things like laying the table for his drink etc.

I notice when he is writing out his spelling words for homework it is difficult to write and look how to spell the word at the same time as his hand is covering the original word.

My DD 13 bought some left handed pens at the Lefties stall at Disney Springs last month, she really likes writing in them, and isn't smudging her work half as much as she used to!

as a life long lefter i have used all brands of pens from left handed ones, fountain pens, gel pens and plain ink bic's
i turn the paper a little bit so write straight so never had a problem with messing the writing up.

nice brands for gifts include parker or cross, they do a gel rolla ball or plain ink in some lovely sets

my parents bought me a lovely black and gold parker set for a big birthday and they write like a dream both fountain and plain ink pen
i was gifted a cross pen in black and silver that is a gel ink it is solid and again writes very well
