Im Wednesday too and just waiting to hear from BA if we are getting out. My nerves are honestly shredded. Im worrying about the flight going out and being bumpy (im a bad flyer). I am worrying about not getting out then im worrying about being out there and something hitting us So either way im worrying

We are at Disney Springs. It is very quiet considering it is Labor Day. A little breezy. Heading back to the villa shortly. We were meant to drive to the Gulf tomorrow but have written it off. Will wait to see if Weds will be possible. After that it won't be worth the drive as we are due to come back on Friday

On my way to Gatwick for my flight tomorrow and fingers are crossed again that Dorian makes its turn sooner than later

We had to cancel our st Augustine plans and rented a villa in Orlando but are heading to the gulf tomorrow as the weather forecast for the west coast Is forecast far better than Orlando’s

We are looking at the forecast and trying to decide what to do. Our original plans are that we leave Kissimmee on Tues at 10am and stay at Treasure Island on the Gulf until Friday. The just announced Osceola curfew only starts 11pm on Tues so beginning to wonder if we should stick to our plan. So hard to decide

Just asking why wouldn't you stick to your plan, makes more sense to me to be on the gulf coast?

I suppose it's just a lack of confidence ad non experience of hurricanes- a bit worried we may get caught out by the storm on the road from Kissimmee to the Gulf, but having looked at the forecast for the Tampa Bay area it looks like we would be much better there so long as we leave early enough. We are supposed to be out of Emerald Island by 10 tomorrow and we would make sure we were on our way by then

I was just wondering if you knew something I didn't

I've just booked a hotel in Clearwater for a few days, we are off first thing tomorrow, should be better weather over there.

Watching the Tampa Bay news channels at the moment; keen interest as we fly out there for 3 weeks on Saturday.
Their current forecast for the Tampa Bay Area is 0% chance of hurricane or even tropical storm conditions with maybe 15-20mph breezes.

Decided we are going to drive to Treasure Island in the morning. If the parks are open until 3pm we should be long gone before the storm hits Orlando.
