What are you buying?

We are starting to plan our trip and getting excited over everything we have planned but I just can’t get myself excited about the shopping... which is unusual for me!

I’m planning on checking out the Kate Spade outlet, Nordstrom, Abercrombie and Victoria Secret but given I can buy all this at home there is nothing specific I want/need. I’m just hoping to spot a bargain really!

So... help me get excited!
What are you buying out there now or what stores are you most looking forward to visiting when you go?

I was there in mid Nov and also found some bargains.

2 small Michael Kors bags for $49.50 each. I know people say they are made for the outlet stores but the ones I bought were very nice.

Also The Cosmetics Store at Vineland outlets had some Jo Malone candles. I bought a set of 5 votives in glass pots, beautifully boxed. $50/£35. Over £100 on Amazon UK.

I also got quite a haul of Frozen 2 stuff for my great nieces 4 and 2. Small bits that I haven’t seen here.

Then the ‘perennial’ bargain, Levi’s for my brother. $40 a pair from Macy’s, compared to £80 in Debenhams.

Looks like you have both got some good bargains, I must have been unlucky on my last trip as I couldn’t find anything!

I do love the Kate Spade outlet!
Always get a great bargain!

I have never been that impressed with the MK Outlets in Vegas but will have a look this trip I think.

Hoping they get the Jo Malone votives back in for me going!

Those votives are “to die for”. Even the box is a work of art, lined in gold (paper not ingots).

I gave one to my niece for her birthday. Scored some brownie points !

Just to let you know that there isn’t a Nordstrom in Orlando; the nearest is in Tampa; Nordstrom is our fave department store in the US & a bonus are their cafes (blood orange spritzer, yum!)
However, there is a Nordstrom Rack in Orlando.

Be wary of the Cosmetic Company Store; there can be bargains, as mentioned above, especially if they have a 40% discount off every item (50% if spending over $100) which we got last month.
However, I have the benefit of being able to visit both their US & UK stores regularly and if the US stores don’t have that offer, I’ve seen more than once that the UK prices are cheaper.

Thanks I just assumed there would be, I thought Nordstrom was everywhere! I might have to take a drive out to Tampa then, nice wee afternoon to myself while DS and co are at the water parks!

I do quite like Nordstrom Rack though, I snagged a pair of Valentino sunglasses for $45 in San Francisco! That was a couple of years ago and I still wear them, my favourite pair!

Not as widespread as you'd think; definitely not on the scale of the likes of Macys/Dillards etc.
Tampa, Naples & 3 in the Miami/Palm Beach/Fort Lauderdale area; that's it in Florida!

Like Nordstrom Rack too; our best bargains were a Hugo Boss sweater & Clinique products.
A great price on the tickets but when we got to the till on both occasions (once in San Francisco, once in Clearwater), the cashier laughed and said that they were items where the price had been entered into the system incorrectly and the price wasn't what was on the ticket!
Sigh, we said, what's the price then?
He smiled and said that their policy, whenever that happens, is that the price is always a penny!
Yep, a Hugo Boss sweater and 3 bottles of Clinique products for 1c each!

That’s amazing! Would never happen over here!

Hoping they mess up their pricing when I go 😂

There was a Nordstrom in Florida Mall some years ago but it was short-lived for some reason. I can’t think what’s in its place now ?
