Love it too. It was such and understated and unassuming story which made it feel incredibly real and really drew me in to the story. Very well written and acted. It was the acting debut for the man who played Connell...he's got a bright future ahead of him for sure.

Yes he was truly amazing wasnt he. Did you read their interviews in Radio Times? I truly felt watching it that I was being privvy to a real happening. So well acted and filmed. The whole thing deserves several awards.

I have so far watched 6 in a row. Not sure if i am actually enjoying it, or watching in the hope that it starts to grab me. I love seeing the different areas of Ireland, but still out atm as to whether I would rate it as highly as most dibbers on this thread. Looking forward to the Italy scenes x

I thought I would give it a go this week. Just watched first five minutes, my word she is a little madam isn’t she. Do people talk to teachers like that these days.

I think in some cases it’s worse these days

I watched the whole series a week or so ago and only just found when reading an article over the weekend that it’s set in the 1990s. I didn’t even realise and those were my school days too.

I have now binge watched up to episode six. A bore fest for me too. It’s very slow and there is no discernible story so far. Switching it off now, don’t think I will finish the series.
