Just used chargeback on debit card money is back in my account!
I’ve just called the disputes number given to me in my Halifax branch.called it at home waited on hold an hour. the lovely man took details of our flight he then immediately processed the refund ! it was showing in my account within 15 minutes! I just can’t believe it .just wanted to give others hope! Good luck xx

I had flight only booking for next month sitting on my Barclays debit card. Called them this morning and they said it might take up to 45 days, which I thought was reasonable considering how much they have to sort.
Had a text midday to say they had noticed I had a Thomas Cook purchase, and checked my account - it’s all back already. Huzzah! I rebooked last night for more than the original flights so it is certainly helpful to see it back so quickly. I truly didn’t expect that with the scale of everything happening. |

I paid £200 deposit on my Halifax CC, then £1600 through direct debit from my Lloyds current accoun. Both Halifax & Lloyds said its covered by ATOL you need to go via that route not us ..

I have just called halifax and they say i have to go through atol and they cant do an indemnity claim as the company are in liquidation! They seem to be really inconsistent
