Whatever it takes...June 2019 Trip Report - Day 13
Friday 28th June
We got up at 7.10am, having been woken up by our neighbours who left in a very noisy fashion at 5.30am. I did a bit more laundry whilst we got ready, which could then be packed this evening. I also dressed appropriately for the day... We were headed to our favourite park on our last day – Epcot. The bus was full, but the park didn’t seem too busy thankfully. Our first FP+ was for Soarin’, which is my favourite ride in all of WDW. We did Journey into Imagination with Figment (second favourite ride) and The Seas with Nemo and Friends next, then managed to grab a FP+ for one final ride – Test Track (hopefully minus the crazy family this time!). We also went to eat at our favourite quick service restaurant for lunch- the Tangierine Café in Morocco – for Kefta Wraps. We followed this with another delicious cup of soft serve ice cream from the crepes booth in France, before making a slow amble back to the bus stop. I find this day hard – I want to stay and enjoy more of Disney, but also I have accepted that it is time to go home and want to get on with the journey and get back to Fudge. We managed to make it back into the room before the heavens opened, and went about freshening up and finishing off some packing. Whilst I was in the shower, I heard a massive bang, but just assumed Dave was moving the cases, or someone had dropped something in the room next door. Suddenly, Dave burst into the bathroom to see if I was ok…he thought lightning had struck the building and wanted to check I was alright. Before we knew it, it was time for tea, and we decided to head to Disney Springs one last time. One thing we did miss was getting the boat there from POFQ, especially as the bus took such a convoluted route back to the resort. We ate at Wolfgang Puck Express – I had chicken tenders, and Dave had a pizza. We did some final bits of shopping, and then headed back to All Stars with a heavy heart for final packing to commence. Our good friend and fellow dibber BigShaz has long been an advocate of taking storage solutions with you on holiday. As I was aware that storage was likely to be lacking in a value resort, I took her advice and packed a pop up laundry basket. I was very glad I did, as when we packed the holdall, we found the base it had was very flimsy and would make it hard to wheel around– but laying the laundry basket with a wire frame along the bottom solved that problem in an instant. I also took a few room pictures for reference. Packing complete, we finished off the beer in the fridge and the pretzels we had knocking around, and just chilled. I had noticed that a whole boat load of primary school aged kids had checked in for a jump rope competition #notarealsport so we braced ourselves for a noisy night. Steps: 18972 Food cost: $83 |

I have that same t-shirt for the day we go home. I’m sure I won’t be the only one wearing it on the plane.
