Beautiful Days Festival

I'm a bit old to be a first time festival goer but my (younger) OH has talked me into this one

Anyone who has been got any tips on this specific location ?

I have 2 tents - a small, single room "3" man tent that would just about fit 2 of us or a larger 5/6 person one with a separate section for storage/sitting etc
Would you lug the larger one across site for the luxury of the extra space?

Originally I would have said, take the small tent so you are not carrying much and you won’t spend much time actually in the tent but after just coming back from Download Festival where the mud was horrendous, I’d now say take the big tent so you have space to separate yourself from muddy and wet clothes if the weather is bad.

as someone who once lugged a full size canvas house tent from one side of glastonbury to the other (me with the pole bag, my mate with the canvas bag and a rucksack full of booze each on our backs) i would say its worth the extra effort.

would i ever do it again? not sure, but we lived like kings that weekend
