What is the cheapest UK > Orlando flight you have got?

Just seen some Economy light fares for Dec 2019, Jan - Mar 2020 for £250 direct return with Virgin. It got me thinking, do prices ever go lower than that for direct flights?

What's the best price you've ever had for a direct flight?

I've never been able to beat the TUI last minute deals but recently I have been able to undercut them by a couple of hundred pounds doing DIY . This is all theoretical planning for when we do a last minute budget trip

Our best deal... 2014... £1940 total for 4x people direct with tui in premium in june, 4 bedroom lux villa allocated on arrival in Hampton Lakes, including upgraded to full size Car with free gold insurance as part of an offer.

Only downside was it was for 2 weeks only.

I joined the Dibb in 2008 on the back of a friend telling me about a thread that day about Cheaptickets.com offering ridiculously cheap flights to Orlando for June 2009 time.

Anyway we ended up getting 3 return flights with BA from Dublin via Gatwick for the equivalent at the time of £543.00 which was my CC bill as flight prices were in dollars. This was for start of Scottish School holidays as well so we had a wee trip to Ireland on Ferry and everything was great!

This was in the great old days of nearly 2$ to the £, but I have never even got close to that since!

Last year we had a 10 day fly Drive to Miami for 3 for about £1,100 in October School Holidays for the 3 of us which was also excellent!

£179 for a 3month return with Thomas Cook about 10yrs ago. We were on a winning streak because a Holiday Inn in Kissimmee had a glitch of £11 a night which they honoured for 2months!

Bought flights for February for under £900 for 3 adults with bags and food. It is indirect via charlotte but we prefer to fly from Heathrow so very happy with the price

Airtours, £79pp, mid 90’s, which included 14 nights motel accommodation which held no interest as we stay in SW Fl. We oft took the motel for the first night afore driving down. I remember how worn out the motels were.

£997 for 2A +2C next feb direct with virgin via codeshare on AirFrance. Booked as eco light, but booking transferred to Virgin as classic so have luggage and seats included in that price as well. Doubt we will beat that again!

These days i doubt they can go much lower. £250pp will barely cover the tax costs. That will be the floor for prices. The airlines will be better.off not selling the seat than making a loss on the taxes.
