Blown away with the poly

The hotel is stunning and way above any standards of the yacht club. Just wished we had booked our 5 night stay here instead. Just everything about it feels like a deluxe should.

If we had a choice, it would be WL as our preferred Delux.

What specifically is it about the poly that you prefer over YC?

I feel the same - much prefer the Poly to the Yacht/beach club

Everything . We’ve had a bad experience with the yacht anyway but just the whole feel is completely different . I agree with WL though that’s the same . It has the deluxe feel .
The staff at the yacht are extremely poor in relation to the poly , gf, cont and WL. They don’t care about the appearance or the standard .
You walk into the others and get that smell and feel immediately. Staff care , willing to offer help with anything , the yacht very rarely had more than 2 people on the front desk .
One example of the yacht is one of the door handles on the main entrance was missing for the first 5 days we stayed , looked shabby , felt shabby .

We have just returned from a 9 night stay at the Polynesian and had the most amazing time. Two years ago we stayed at the Beach Club and were disappointed, especially with the Cast Members, transportation and housekeeping there. I would definitely return to the Polynesian.

That’s exactly how we felt , I think they are more moderates

I agree. If YC and BC weren't within walking distance of Epcot I don't think they'd be deluxes - the price tag is definitely for location. And I think that'll lose its value now that the Skyliner is open. I'll be interested to see if bookings drop.

I've always enjoyed the BWI for its size, service and location, but YC and BC just for the location (BC service was shockingly poor when I stayed last), I prefer resorts under one roof so I'm afraid I've tended to discount the Poly (and GF non CL) as I can't see the benefit over the moderates. I'm thinking of just a night or 2 for my upcoming at a Disney resort, maybe it's worth considering the Poly?

We had a free upgrade to the poly last year, due to AKl pool refurb and I don’t think anything will ever beat it, we loved it so much, unfortunately we can’t justify the price again especially now free dining isn’t included for it, but it was so perfect we had a view of the castle and another upgrade to club level too. Beautiful hotel in a perfect location.

Totally agree, we had issues with the Yacht Club, had to move rooms whilst staying there. Due to the problems we had we got a free 2 night stay at any deluxe resort and opted for the Poly. The Poly blew me away... I felt tearful leaving at the end of our stay, unfortunately I doubt i’ll be able to afford to stay there for a whole trip but I can dream.
