Equally if anyone is there before then please feel free to let us know.

I suspect there won't be any choice and worse there may be none available as you can't book a full size suv for our sates any more. It could mean a quick trip to MCO when we've got a spare hour or so. Alternatively fingers crossed for an upgrade!
I have a full size SUV booked for 21/7 via Andy with Avis. Noticed that Alamo also now have availability for my dates and slightly cheaper so pondering wether to switch to Alamo (have used them every year before but booked Avis as it was much cheaper at the time)

I think your right about choice though. Will likely be pre allocated rather than you get to pick.

Alamo at Melbourne is pre allocation rather than selection, but they are bumping people upwards at times to upgrades free of charge when it needs.

We are here now. Booked Alamo 7 seater full size SUV. At the airport there was no choice, I think they just drop of the cars that are ordered. We got a Nissan Armada, we are happy with it, but it was the only vehicle available in that size.

Thanks for the info!

Glad you are happy with it, but really hope I end up with a Tahoe or Expedition. Luck of the draw I guess.

Have a great holiday.

Sorry. Forgot to ask.
Is it an older car / model, what was the mileage on it?

Thanks again.

I’d be pretty gutted with an Armada. I’ve requested a Tahoe or Yukon.

Yeah they are a bit rubbish. But I think the trouble is the way it works at MLB is you get what you're given. Unless I spotted there were some better vehicles on the lot I'd probably just take it and if I really hated it I'd swap it at MCO the next day.

The lot is quite small at MLB and close to the terminal so if I went out and found 4 Tahoes I'd be heading back in to ask them to swap!

Has anyone used Budget at MLB yet and know if they allow to use debit card for security deposit on Tahoe?

We ended up with an Expedition Max. It’s got about 20k on the clock and seems to have most options fitted so I’m not dissatisfied.

I’ll try and post some photos later when the light is a bit better!
