Family lane at Birmingham Airport
Hi
It doesn’t seem to be the case from what I can see online, but I thought I’d double check with some experts! 😉 We usually fly from Manchester and therefore as we have a young son, are able to use the fast track lane at security. My understanding this isn’t the case at Birmingham, even with a pram. Is that correct? We’d normally get rid of the pram at check in, but if this was going to make a difference, we’d happily keep hold of it until the gate. Thanks!

Yes that's correct. You'd have to use the normal lane at BHX.

BHX is our local airport and always our preference if possible.
Although no family lane we have seen them offer families to join the express lane , even us when we brought our grandson on a trip . As another said it is a lot more organised than when we have used Manchester. Our son went through yesterday and from check in at TUI PE he was sat in the No 1 lounge 20 minutes later so pretty good and much improved from the photos posted recently |

My sister has flown from BHX today and went through a family lane at security. They had their baby still in a buggy and dropped the buggy at the gate.
We flew from there last week and families with pushchairs and people with wheelchairs were directed to a separate lane just after scanning boarding passes. |
