Is the iphone 13 Pro worth it for the camera?

I use my phone for all of my photos, it's an XR and despite not holding a charge as well as it did when it was new, there's nothing wrong with it.

I keep getting tempted by the 13 pro for the camera, if you have it, do you think it's really worth the money?

Best phone camera I've used is the Sony 1 Mk3 which was replaced by a 1 Mk4 recently.
May be some deals with it being updated.
Someone at work has the Sony One with the large sensor which is supposedly even better.
Have read the new iPhone 14 is a substantial step in lots of ways, though possibly not the camera (?)
Due September ?

Have a 12 Pro which will probably be changed for a 13 Pro if there is a worthwhile saving.
Have read the iPhone 14 will be much higher in price when it comes out.

I am reliably informed that the pro is even better. We will be taking an IPhone 13 with us to the West Coast this October, along with an Olympus TG4 Underwater compact. The Canon 77D and lenses will not be coming as I am confident in the results of the Camera Phone!

I would like an ‘expert’ to give advice on the advantages of the 13 pro over the 13 before I commit to my next IPhone.

The 13 pro and 12 pro can take photos in RAw format which is far better than jpg as it’s not compressed.

The processor is better on the max and the I have found that the 12 pro max takes better photos than the 13 pro max in my opinion.

To be fair most new phones take stunning photos though none are a substitute for my Dslr 👍

I have a 13 pro, upgraded from an 8 and the photos are amazing. The night time photos are especially good.

These are just from the IPhone 13 mini of my son. We are hoping that somebody can explain whether we get an IPhone 13 pro or simply copy our son with his 13 mini. Is the upgrade worth the extra money in their opinion ?
