We tend to be rope drop people in the past, I've also seen the scrums at early entry now. I think we'd avoid GE, FoP etc and do ToT and Everest areas instead, having tried to get our preferred LL or Fancy ride depending on which Park.
We plan to do the extra evening hours at MK and EP due to where we're staying. Hoping to maximise the 2 hours and also jump in last ride line before Park closes too.
Was interested to see that Splash and Jungle Cruise don't open during this EEH time, would have been annoyed traipsing over there to find it closed!

We have always been rope drop people, so it goes against the grain to not get to the parks as soon as we can, but I am really not interested in the scrum!

Also hearing people are arriving up to an hour before the early entry time, surely all that means is that you are in an hour queue anyway?

I’m wondering if there is any merit in arriving at the gate say ten minutes after early entry for MK, AK & DHS? My thinking is that we wouldn’t entertain joining the crowds heading to Mine train, Flight of Passage or ROTR - but would instead let the masses swarm ahead, and instead we would walk in after them, heading to the likes of Tomorrowland Speedway, Navi/Safari and Toy Story Mania/Tower of Terror?

We will either LL or queue on closing for the big ticket rides (we’ve also got after hours events - deluxe evening hours/Moonlight Magic/MNSSHP to get stuff done in as well).

Does that seem a reasonable plan? (It means turning years of our touring style on its head, but I think that might be more relaxing for us) 👍
I'm going to try and do it this way for our trip. As you say it's not what we are used to, but I don't see how getting to the park an hour before it opens is in any way a time saving you're right you're still in a queue it's just that you're not even in the park yet. Seems like madness to me.

Fingers crossed this way will be more chilled out and enjoyable. I

We added 5 nights at the Yacht Club onto the end of our 10 nights at Caribbean Beach, covering both a Monday and a Wednesday night intentionally.

I'm really looking forward to the extra evening hours. We love the parks after dark and having them with dramatically-reduced crowd levels could be really special.

We've not seen Molly's vlog on this yet, so will make sure we watch it this evening.

Having watched Molly from All Ears, I’m feeling quite optimistic about what extra magic hours looks like. We changed from POFQ to the Yacht Club so that we could have better access to the parks and extra magic hours was a great bonus!
