Food etc is all included isn't it? So for a 7 night cruise, how much am I looking at on top for drinks?
I really wanted to do the Greek islands but we wanted the ultra spacious room so we opted for western med on Symphony of the Seas. My husband doesn’t drink alcohol so we will buy the refreshment package and take wine on board for me.

Hi. We are on the 7th August. Currently trying not to stress about the airline situation! When do you go?

Has anyone done a Marella Cruise with TUI? Their prices with flights & a hotel for 7 nights after the cruise are pretty good?

To be honest, neither of us are big drinkers, my husband will have a couple, and I might have one every other day and I don't really drink fizzy stuff either so it might be better for us to get the refreshment package too if we go ahead and book. What cabin did you book?

The drinks packages can be added on whenever you want through the cruise planner snd you can cancel and rebook very easily.

Some one mentioned the £40 offer which is what we got in the end. For this one we called up and it was added to the booking rather than through the planner and pay up front. It was advertised on the RC website. For us that is well worth it, it covers all drinks up to 13 dollars I think. We did have to purchase the refreshment package for both children at the same time but I number crunched and it was still a good deal for us.

All food is included but you can buy dining packages as they have speciality restaurants. We haven't done this but I do plan to book the teppanyaki restaurant before we go as we love those places. Tempted with the steak restaurant too but probably won't do that, spent enough!

Virtually all activities and entertainment is included, you can book excursions through the cruise planner and everything in their has various offers on which change regularly.

I don't know much about ports but I have seen stuff about the Venice port now being quite far from Venice and a few people having transfer issues so I'd check that out, could be because they've only recently moved to Ravenna I think it is 🤷

We love Royal but find the drinks packages really expensive. NCL do give these as standard. Royal have a lot more activities onboard but my son was never bothered much preferring to make friends at the teen club then hang out with them the whole time. I guess it depends what you want on the ship and now important drinks are. We are doing the symphony with royal next sept and will probably get the refreshment package and then pay for alcohol as we go as we are not massive drinkers.

I've been looking at all the different cruise lines and the ships are all amazing. If we enjoy this cruise I'd like to do another but possibly from Southampton to reduce the additional costs, really fancy the Fjords. First I have to see how my sea legs fare as I do suffer from sea sickness 🙄

I’ve seen a p&o one, for 14 nights to the med, sailing from Southampton, for our dates in August, works out about £5.5k for the 4 of us including £120 onboard spending money. I’m not sure if this is a good deal or not? Or if 14 nights is too much for a first cruise?
