London travel passes

DS is booked into accomodation in Wood Green for his show which is in Islington N1.

Tube is obviously faster but do they do weekly/daily tickets for either
1 All modes of transport
2 for each specific method of travel

He is there Monday to Sunday arriving into Kings Cross and out via Euston

Thanks

Tell just to use his contactless card - as long as he uses the same card for each and every journey (which is acceptable on all forms of transport) it (tfl) will automatically work out the cheapest for him at the end of the week

Megaflyer has given great advise, just to add using a contactless card, the absolute maximum he will pay is £45.20 for the week.

It may well be less as most of his trips are out of Zone 1 apart from to and from KX & Euston. However if he's up for some sightseeing then the above cap will apply.

This really hasn’t been the best advice for quite a few years.

There is a fee for a new Oyster card, then you need to put funds on it with the possibility that by the end of a trip, you have unused funds left on there.

Whereas contactless is already in your wallet & ready to go; you’re charged exactly what you use & whilst both Oyster & contactless have daily charge caps, only contactless benefits from a weekly cap.

Yeah Oyster card is really only useful where you need to add a fare discount like a senior persons rail card as TFL apparently can only manage this through the medium of oyster!

I just tap in and out using my Apple Watch. It’s so much easier and I know the price will be capped.

We just tap in and out with a contactless card. I tend not to use my phone in case the battery runs out by the end of a long day!
