Flying BA covid 19 related

I'm hoping someone can help, we are flying with BA in August but now the change to covid has come in do we still need to fill in an assertation form or do we just need to show proof of covid vaccination? have heard a lot of conflicting stuff on this also does your doctor need to sign it or can you get someone at the airport to sign the assertation form? we are so confused we thought all you needed was proof of vaccinations.

you would be signing the assertation form to confirm that you are fully vaccinated.

It’s covered most days on here. If you use VeriFLY, the Attestation form is a couple of questions that you say yes to and then you upload your vaccination pass from the nhs covid app. It takes a few minutes and is very simple.

Are you able to show your vaccination card at the airport as proof?

The description card worries me. You can show your government supplied paper vacination certificate that is bar coded or the NHS app also bar coded.

Those little cards given to everyone when the vacinations took place are not proof, can't be used.

That’s annoying ! Used to to get into the Birmingham NEC earlier in the year. Good job I asked even though October is a while away. How do you get the barcode?- from the NHS site?

Google UK Gov vacination certificate it will take you to the official site, put in name, date of birth and NHS number, address etc. They send it to you within 3 or 4 days, they have a shelf life requested my last one 8/06 expires 8/12.

Thanks for this. Hadn’t really looked into it all given it’s still some time away. Most helpful - thank you.
