Excited that someone else is going there. How long before you go? We are 5 September and we're staying at the Bayshore Waterfront Inn when in Ucleulet.

Bear watching is booked via Jamie's Whaling Station. Can I ask which restaurant you've booked?

Check out Smithlane's report from not too long ago for some great tips. 🙂
We fly out on 28th August, so we leave the island on 7th! We can wave as we drive past each other.

We’ve booked pluvio.ca/ for our anniversary. The place we booked sent a guide with recommendations, I’ve copied the food bit below.

BREAKFAST
The Barkley Café – friendly service, quality coffee & food
Zoe’s Bakery & Café – coffee, organic baked goods, daily sandwich specials The Blue Room Bistro – all day traditional breakfast & tasty caesars
Black Rock Resort – simple, artisan menu & an ocean view

LUNCH
Heartwood Kitchen – awesome brunch made beautifully with love
Yayu Café – healthy eats & vegan treats, plant based café
Jiggers Fish & Chips Food Truck – locally caught, fresh fish
Ukee Dogs Eatery – craft beer, homemade kombucha & specialty hotdogs
Ucluelet Brewing Co. – beautiful views & even better brews

DINNER
Pluvio – the perfect Anniversary dinner with many dietary options *book ahead*
Frankie’s Resto-Bar – laid back home cooking, good selection of wine and beer Heartwood Kitchen – fresh, local quality & small intimate meals
Abbodanza Pizzeria – authentic, wood fire pizza
Sake Sushi – fresh & delicious
SEOM Restaurant – best modern Korean comfort food & pizzas
Howler’s Family Restaurant – bowling, burgers & arcade

I think I might have read smithlane’s report v recently, I remember an engagement on a bridge?!

Thanks, good point! I think post-covid I want to check if everything’s open before I go.

Oh brilliant, thank you! I'll go through them - already seen most in my obsessive research 🙂 but recommendations are always best.

We arrive on 8th on the Island 😄 so will still be in Vancouver when you're leaving.

Yes, you're right about the engagement! Wedding very soon ❤️ I remember her recommending the Barkley Cafe for breakfast.

I've badly hurt my knee so am in a panic about it being ok for all the walking and I'm seeing the consultant in Tuesday. Fingers 🤞
