I use it all the time as it’s my nickname for my husband 😂 as he loves a nap. The dog also has a collection of stuffed sloths. Definitely cloth. Never heard it rhymed with both

Rafe is the posh public school pronunciation IMO. Like Mr Fiennes.

Sloth the animal rhymes with cloth (I am from South Wales). Just asked DH (from Preston) what you call the slow animals from Zootopia and he said sloth to rhyme with cloth.

However, sloth and idleness, as in one of the seven deadly sins - that feels more like a slowth to me.

Do you mean if you're born Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes?

I"ve always pronoounced it like cloth. I'm 58. I 'm originally from South Wales and moved to Hertfordshire when I was 24.
