Appropriate Favors?

While my mum is visiting from the UK we are trying to get as much done as possible for next year. She will only be visiting again over Xmas before the wedding so the main priorities have been the big things.

Smaller things mind you I'm stuck on! What's an appropriate, fun etc wedding favor to buy or make for our guests? Or should I just play it safe with mints lol

We played it 'safe' and had mints, but fell in love with these and they were well received by our guests

My sister did charity wedding favours, she is cat daft and so they donated to a cat charity and each guest received a cat pin badge on a card explaining that a donation had been made on their behalf.

We managed to get some lovely candles on sale in Laura Ashley (They were made to look like cupcakes and were in boxes of 3) so we split them all out and will be hand wrapping them in organza for the ladies. For the men we've just started creating some home made sloe gin! It takes 6 months to make but is well worth it! We picked the sloes form the village I and from and the gin is from the OH's town.

Have your Mum visit Michael's while she is here. They have a great wedding aisle and you can get some good favor containers or she could have a look for any of the other small details you need.

Also, have a look at Etsy and see if there is someone who makes favors that you might like. If you have a theme to your wedding day you might find a great option.

Pinterest is a great resource for wedding ideas. You can find us on Pinterest and we have loads of ideas pinned to different boards.

Happy planning! ;-)

We had magnets made with the date of our wedding, our names and a Thank you for coming message. One had Cinderella dancing with Prince Charming and the other had Mickey and Minnie in wedding gear. We put them in little organza bags, with Disney chocolate coins.

We plan on doing lemon drops in little jars as our colour scheme is lemon and grey. For the kids we are doing mickey Rice Krispie heads.

i bought lots of glass photo frame coasters from bed, Bath and Beyond when we were there in feb.

I used them as the place name / favour. wrapped a ribbon around corners and each had name and "thank you for making this a picture perfect day" in the place of a photo.

We're having scratch cards (hopefully lovey ones) and we've had a lady on EBay make some personalised envelopes for them which are really lovely.

I also liked the idea of personalised M&M's but they were working out quite expensive x
