Ok Let's Try Another One - August 2018 LIVE - Day 9

Didn't wake up til 9am this morning, the busy days were obviously catching up with us.
We decided to have breakfast in Contempo cafe this morning. We usually like to head out for a few breakfasts when on holiday but I've noticed how expensive they have gotten recently. I realised we can actually eat in Contempo cafe for less, minus having to pay a tip and we don't have to drive anywhere.
So we took our mugs down and ordered 2 grilled breakfast sandwiches for DH and I. This is grilled bread with egg, cheese and ham inside. Really good and so filling! I have mine with the little pots of honey mustard sauce 😊 these were $7.79 each.

Dd had the kids bounty platter. This was a sausage pattie, scrambled egg and a mickey waffle

and came with a small yoghurt, grapes and a drink. This was $6.79 and there are lots of maple syrup you can help yourself to for the waffle.

DH also got a chocolate muffin for $2.99.

We filled up our refillable mugs with coffee and were set for breakfast.

Total cost $27.01, our breakfasts including a tip usually set us back over $40 so quite the saving.

After breakfast we got our things together for a late morning/early afternoon in the water park. Today's choice was blizzard beach. On the way in we stumbled upon goofy just coming out to do a character meet. I popped into the shop to get some towels and we managed to grab some sun loungers down by the main wave pool and had a float round the last river. DH and dd went off to do some water slides while I had a lie down in the sun. I didn't last long before I had to move and sit in the shade as it was just too hot!

We finally called it a day at 1.45 and went and got changed into our park clothes as we were off to SeaWorld for the magical dining 3 course meal for $35 at sharks underwater grill.
We were going to be abit too early for our reservation so we went for a drive up I drive first. We arrived at SeaWorld at 3pm and told the parking booth attendant we were there for the magical dining menu at sharks and they gave us a receipt for free parking and waved us through. We parked up a fair walk from the entrance, we were pleasantly surprised how busy SeaWorld was. We walked to the entrance and checked in at the magical dining sign, we were then escorted through the park to the sharks underwater grill, the escort checked us in at the podium whilst we waited inside in the air con.

We waited about 5 minutes before we were called and seated with a lovely view of the tanks.

We were given a magical dining menu each and dd was given a kids menu.

We each ordered a coke to drink.

I had the Caesar salad to start which was fine, the lettuce was crisp and there was plenty of dressing, could have done with some croutons.

DH had the sharks signature salad, he thought this was good.

We were also served some sweet bread buns and salted butter.

For our mains I went for the seafood paella pasta, I really enjoyed this. There were 3 big shrimp, 3 muscles, 5 scallops and lots of chorizo and the lobster sauce was delicious. I could have licked the bowl clean!

DH had the filet mignon served medium rare with mash and broccoli. This was a really good sized piece of steak and good quality, he really enjoyed this.

Dd had the kids hot dog with fries and this came with apple sauce too. She ate most of this so it must have been good.
Next up was dessert.

DH had the key lime martini, it was pretty much a deconstructed key lime pie served in a martini glass, DH was a bit disappointed with it, he expected it to be light and refreshing and it wasn't.

I had the chocolate cake, this was really good, there was just far too much of it!

DH had a bowl of fruit, this was mostly melon but came served in a really cute killer whale bowl which our server told us to keep.
Our total came to $95, we payed up and were out of there by 4.30pm leaving us 5 hours to spend in the park.

It took us a while to get our bearings as it's been 8 years since we were last here. We were right next to mako so DH rode this, it only had a 5 minute wait, he said this was awesome. We walked over to manta and DH rode this with a 10 minute wait. Next up we went and saw a few of the animals. We rode wild arctic, Antarctica and Atlantis, DH went on mako again and there were dance parties and entertainment going on throughout the park that dd joined in with.

We then made our way to the shamu stadium for the 8.45 killer whale show. After that we decided to call it a day. We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening in SeaWorld. It's been ages since we were last here, dd really wants to come back again this holiday but the ticket price is abit steep considering we've done quite a lot of the attractions now. I definitely think we will be visiting here on our next holiday.

We got back to bay lake tower just in time to watch the electrical water pageant from the balcony and then it was off to sleep.

The Underwater Grille looks a good meal. Did the Magical Dining event price include the Seaworld admission?
