Thank you all so much, I didn’t even know whether to post on here but I was working myself up so much. You’ve all helped to put my mind at rest a little and be able to step back and rationalise things. It’s also a comfort to know I’m not the only one who has experienced something like this.
I hope the posters who have experienced similar are now feeling better xx |

I never saw anyone about it and wish that I had. I had a terrible few years (my dad died out of the blue at quite a young age) and looking back I really needed help. PTSD makes so much sense after a traumatic life changing event.

People think PTSD is just for war zones, but any traumatic event can cause it.
I was really lucky to have a fab doctor, who listened and supported me from the get go. I also have a great employer and had 4 months off to get the help I needed. I had therapy within weeks and I still get a top up now and again. I hope you feel better now. But if you ever feel that way, then please talk to someone ❤

I emailed my GP a photo of a red itchy, flakey area I noticed. He didn’t see me but referred me straight to the hospital, on the urgent cancer path, where I was seen within a few days. Sun damage diagnosed and a cream prescribed. Great treatment, however the follow up should have been on the 8th June and I’m still waiting as they are busy.
I was referred again in May for an urgent cancer path gynae appointment. I received the appointment within days, followed by a letter to explain it would be a telephone one in eight weeks. Had that a couple of days ago when the consultant said he couldn’t do an internal over the phone DUH and I would need to come in - appointment in September. TBH I’m fairly certain it isn’t anything other than a reoccurrence of a previous problem but they can’t be sure without an exam! |

OP I really feel for you. I had health anxiety after my mum passed away and it was awful. Just make an appointment with your GP snd get your mind out at rest.

At the start of last year I noticed a small patch just under my collar bone that only really showed itself when I applied fake tan, the tan seemed to latch onto it. It was still skin coloured, smooth and ever so slightly raised but not itchy, sore or causing any problems. Roll on May of this year and it had become much more vivid and red in appearance and then it got a crust on it and started to itch a bit.
The doctor took pictures and sent them to the skin consultant in our local hospital but she was fairly certain that it was a solar keratosis, which the specialist confirmed a few days later. I was prescribed a cream to apply for 6-8 weeks and it has returned the patch to how it looked when I first noticed it. The doctor said that generally solar keratosis are harmless but just to keep an eye on it as it may flair up again. |

Deep breaths now ... you are panicking and it is so understandable but the chances are it will be fine. You have been thru so much. Get it checked out when you can as a little check up. I have 3 marks on my legs that are raised and can be itchy. I got them checked but doc said they were prob old bites. Be good to yourself now xxx

I had these things, one on my chest where my bra rubbed. I had cryotherapy to get rid. It was harmless.
It was one of these Get checked of course, but try not to worry, grief is a strange thing.

I would go and show the chemist. They will probably be able to advise.
We went a couple of months ago to the chemist with a skin condition with Dd. The chemist knew exactly what it was and gave us sone cream which has cleared it up. Saved the hassle of seeing the doc as we didn’t want to bother them if it wasn’t anything sinister. Kat

Thank you everyone, I have been to see the pharmacist and shown him the pics, he advised eurax for my chest and hydrocortisone for my leg, and to speak to the dr on Monday if there’s no improvement. I do feel more reassured and calmer since this morning now, thank you all so much for your kind and reassuring words today, it’s really helped.
