Virgin Atlantic through Lastminute.com Refunds

Hi - having booked virgin flights through lastminute.com which now look a dead cert for cancellation, anyone got any experience (good or bad) of getting refunds from them? Had a quick Google for lastminute.com refunds and it doesn’t look good, but Dibbers will know best!

No, but I’m in the same position as you. Haven’t had a cancellation email yet but am patiently waiting until I do to see what they say. Clearly they are absolutely obliged to refund so hopefully we will be ok but if not I assume we’d go through our credit card. Let’s keep each other updated on how it goes .

I also booked through lastminute for the cheap code share Air France/Virgin August flights from Manchester. If we do end up being cancelled I don't want a voucher as when I rebook price is the biggest factor for me, the airline doesn't really matter. I did read a review on lastminute last night which was complaining that they took an admin fee of Ł30 to refund a cancelled flight, I'd be ok with that as they're an agent after all.

Ok, so I literally just received an email from lm.com saying my flights are cancelled for 31st July. There was a link to look at my options. When I clicked the link and logged in there was a clear option to request a refund. I chose that and it now says “Refund in progress” and “ awaiting airline’s response” against my booking reference.
I realise it might take a while but I’m taking screen shots of everything and am encouraged with the way it looks so far 👍

Yep just had the same and did as you did. Says up to 2 months for the refund and as long as that’s the case that’s ok with me. Sad it’s cancelled but at least we know where we stand now

We booked the same codeshare KLM/Virgin MAN-MCO flights - such a good price - I am gutted!

We booked via Dial-a-flight and have heard nothing so far

Would rather them re-book us for the same dates in 2022!

Whatever you do don't look at their Trustpilot Reviews !

CMA had to step in to gee them up on the refunds front not long ago.

They appear in the relegation zone of any Travel Company survey recently.

I had a package booked with them last year and when they failed to refund within the appropriate timescale (14 Days) whacked a chargeback in and had my money back in days.

On a Flight Cancellation you shouldn't have to wait 2 Months for a refund it's 7 Days. If the Airline haven't refunded them that's their problem not yours - chargeback asap.

If any of you booked with them during the pandemic you want your head testing
