My superpower is sleeping on planes! Think it’s the movement plus engine noise. I use a normal eye mask and earplugs in case I need them (they don’t always give them out on day flights).
We normally stay overnight in the airport and get there late after husband has finished work (11-11.30pm ish) I make sure I get up early and use the gym if I can as then I am nice and worn out for the plane.

I then arrive refreshed and hit a park the first night. By sleeping on plane and staying up till 10/11pm Florida time I also never seem to suffer with jet lag.

Me too. Hubby does the driving and can nod off easily. I think the only way I could sleep is in a flat bed and that’s not going to happen anytime soon 😂.
I do have a good neck pillow to help with the comfort.

We never sleep going as it's always day time, and aren't tired when we arrive. Coming home is another matter - we try to sleep and are still tired and grumpy when we land.

I never sleep on the flight going there, as it helps with the jet lag. On the return night flight, I wear comfy lounge clothes, fluffy warm socks, use a large Pashmina to wrap around me, good neck pillow and I take an antihistamine tablet and I'm out for the count and don't usually wake up until I'm disturbed when breakfast comes around

Can't sleep on way home either. Arrived home yesterday at 8am, went to bed for 3 hours. Then stayed up until 10:30pm. We both took a melatonin and magnesium tablet and slept until 9am.
Did this last year and seems to stop the jet lag, pity I didn't know for previous visits.

Someone told my daughter (travels long haul a lot for work) to take night nurse and now she swears by it! I’m gonna try it this time :

I usually sleep better on the way out than the way back. It’s normally an early start and I feel relieved that I’m finally on the plane. 😁
On the way back I listen to an audiobook. A couple of glasses of wine with dinner helps, but I’m not driving or looking after children.

I have a J Pillow but cant say it helps me sleep. i get frustrated trying to sleep on return flight and that makes me more stressed. Have Bose headphones but these are awkward to use with my pillow so its one of the other! Will certainly try some of the tips though

The latest flight possible is my tip! If I leave on the 5pm ish ones out of Orlando then I want to fall asleep just as we are landing.

The most I have ever slept is when we left Miami at 10pm by the time I had watched a film I was ready for some sleep.
